BCIT News operates on the unceded traditional territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We honour the calls to action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, particularly those that pertain to media, journalism, and education. This means a dedication to fair and ethical Indigenous coverage. We are also committed to ongoing reflection on how we can better incorporate the values, history, and teachings of Indigenous communities.
