BCIT Broadcast news will be off-air for the summer break, starting May 24. Thank you for tuning in and be sure to check back throughout June, July and August as our summer contributors continue to post their work. Bi-weekly updates will also spotlight a selection of award winning documentaries and student features from the past year. We will be back up and running in September with a new crop of talented young journalists, but until then – please enjoy some of the stellar work our students have produced this year. Founded in 1973, the Romana Restaurant recently celebrated it’s 37th year in business making it the oldest family owned and operated restaurant in the city of Burnaby.  Corinne Grierson recently visited the renowned eatery to see what has made it such a success over the past three decades.

This is Burnaby: Burnaby Boxing

Founded by former Olympic boxer, Manny Sobral, the North Burnaby Boxing Club has a long history in the city of Burnaby. It’s a non-profit society that welcomes both elite athletes and weekend warriors alike – providing training, coaching and most importantly camaraderie amongst it’s patrons.  Jeremy Bosch visited the community based club in this week’s This is Burnaby feature.
